S/V Gumbo Ya-Ya is a 37-foot Tayana cutter, crewed primarily by Kurt and Nancy Bischoff. Having completed a 2-year cruise in 1995-97 along with their boys Korum and Jherek to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, Kurt and Nancy decided to head out again.

Because Gumbo Ya-Ya didn’t end up travelling in the direction they had originally planned, Nancy and Kurt are hesitant to state a long term cruise itinerary. However, the very loose plan is to head south to Mexico for the winter of 2003 and then west to the South Pacific and Australia in the spring of 2004 through 2005.
